Eaton handed The Academy a loss in a 27-9 showdown on Saturday at Adams 12 North Stadium.
Eaton quarterback Walker Martin led the passing attack with 63 yards through the air. Martin also added 57 yards on the ground. Salvador Rojas lead all Eaton receivers with one reception for 26 yards.
Gage Butler lead all Eaton rushers with 135 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 9 yards per carry. Ethan Florez added 75 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 12.5 yards per carry. Rojas chipped in with 63 yards and one touchdown, averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
Brandon Boston led The Academy’s passing attack with 259 yards through the air. Gabriel Espinosa lead all The Academy receivers with six catches for 111 yards. Boston contributed in the passing game as well, grabbing one pass for 80 yards and one touchdown.
Ryland Boehmer lead The Academy rushing attack by racking up 13 yards in the game.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Eaton heading to play Resurrection Christian and The Academy taking on Berthoud.
