George Washington couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Evergreen squad, losing by a score of 59-36 on Saturday at All City Field, Football Field.

Griffin Lauritano powered Evergreen’s passing attack with 355 yards through the air, throwing seven touchdowns without an interception. Lauritano also added 48 yards on the ground. Carter Cassin contributed in the passing game as well, grabbing four balls for 83 yards and one touchdown.

Noah Martens paced the Evergreen ground attack by racking up 120 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 10.9 yards per carry. Martens also tacked on 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Evergreen hosting Lincoln and George Washington taking on Green Mountain.

George Washington has not reported any team or player statistics from this contest.
