Haxtun easily defeated South Park by a score of 50-22 on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Owen Knode led Haxtun’s aerial attack with 157 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and one interception. Knode also added one rushing touchdown. Kyle Fryrear contributed in the passing game as well, snagging two passes for 57 yards and one touchdown.
Haxtun’s ground attack was lead by Ike Andersen who accrued 322 yards and four touchdowns in the game, averaging 13.4 yards per carry. Andersen also tacked on 73 receiving yards.
Michael Kelley led South Park’s aerial attack with 78 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and two interceptions. Kelley also added 100 yards and one touchdown on the ground. South Park’s leading receiver was Bobby Wallace, who caught one pass for 30 yards.
Silas Newton spearheaded the South Park ground game by finishing with 122 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 11.1 yards per carry.
In their next games, Haxtun will play host to Byers, while South Park will travel to play Custer County.
