
The inaugural XFL draft is taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday. Here’s a look at where player with Colorado ties have been selected:
Skill players rounds
TE Nick Truesdell
First round, fifth pick by Tampa Bay Vipers
Truesdell played with the Colorado Ice of the Indoor Football League in 2014.
WR Tanner Gentry
Third round, third pick (19th overall) by New York Guardians
Gentry starred at Grandview High School before playing at Wyoming.
WR Nelson Spruce
Third round, eighth pick (24th overall) by Los Angeles Wildcats
Spruce played for the Colorado Buffaloes from 2011-15. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound receiver set 41 different school records, including career receptions (294), yards receiving (3,347) and touchdown catches (23).
WR Kelvin McKnight
Sixth round, fifth pick (45th overall) by Dallas Renegades
McKnight was on the Broncos’ offseason roster in 2019.
TE Orson Charles
Sixth round, eighth pick (48th overall) by DC Defenders
Charles was on the Broncos’ offseason roster in 2019.
WR Max McCaffrey
Eighth round, eighth pick (64th overall) by DC Defenders
McCaffrey starred at Valor Christian High School before going to Duke. He is the son of former Broncos wide receiver Ed McCaffrey and older brother to Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey, Michigan Wolverines quarterback Dylan McCaffrey and Nebraska-bound quarterback Luke McCaffrey.
Offensive line rounds

OT Cyrus Kouandjio
Second round, third pick (11th overall) by the New York Guardians
Kouandjio, 26, played with the Broncos from 2017-18. He started one game at right tackle.
C Dillon Day
Third round, second pick (18th overall) by Seattle Dragons
Day, 26, was with the Broncos from 2015-17.
OG Ryan Cummings
Seventh round, first pick (49th overall) by the Los Angeles Wildcats
Cummings was a standout at Valor Christian High School before playing at the University of Wyoming.
Defensive Front Seven

LB Stansly Maponga
First round, third pick by the Seattle Dragons
Maponga spent time on the Broncos practice squad in 2017. He was cut by the team in preseason 2018.
DT Sealver Siliga
Second round, first pick (ninth overall) by Dallas Renegades
Siliga played with the Broncos from 2011-12.
LB Deiontrez Mount
Second round, eighth pick (16th overall) by Tampa Bay Vipers
Mount, 26, played with the Broncos from 2017-18.
LB Steven Johnson
Sixth round, sixth pick (46th overall) by Seattle Dragons
An undrafted free agent with the Broncos, Johnson played in Denver form 2012-15.
LB Drew Lewis
10th round, third pick (75th overall) by Houston Roughnecks
The 6-2, 225-pounder played at the University of Colorado until 2018, and finished his career ranked 78th on CU’s all-time tackles list with 193.
Defensive backfield

CB Lorenzo Doss
Second round, seventh pick (15th overall) by New York Guardians
Doss was drafted by the Broncos in 2015 in the fifth round of the NFL draft. He played in Denver until 2017.
CB Brendan Langley
Seventh round, third pick (51st overall) by Houston Roughnecks
Former Broncos third-round draft pick in 2017. Denver tried converting the 6-4 defensive back into a wide receiver. Was released prior to the start of the 2019 season.
S Rahim Moore
Seventh round, fourth pick (52nd overall) by DC Defenders
A 2011 second-round draft pick by the Broncos, Moore played in Denver from until 2014. He’s best remembered for his role in the Broncos-Ravens playoff game on Jan. 12, 2013 when he misjudged a pass from Joe Flacco that sailed over his head an into the arms of Jacoby Jones for Baltimore’s game-winning touchdown. “It is my fault,” he said after the game.
