The Broncos tried a fake punt…
The were all over it.📺: on | |
How to watch:— NFL (@NFL)
The Broncos tried a fake punt run option with Colby Wadman on Thursday to open the second quarter against the Chiefs.
It did not work.
Wadman rolled out to the left but was taken down by the Kansas City defenders.
Football commentators and fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts:
WTF was that?! They fake punt, roll Wadman to the left and there’s NOBODY on the left side of the field! Either thatap the worst designed play in the history of football or somebody lined up wrong. Pathetic.

Man that fake punt just killed any shot the broncos had. Now just need to hope for turnovers. This seems over already though.

Coach Vic Fangio for is horrible. Goes for 2 again and misses AGAIN. Tries to fake a punt against KC. Awful decisions! Boooo

Going for 2 for no reason and now a fake punt? What are you doing, Mr. Fangio? What are you doing?
— Howard Bender (@rotobuzzguy)
It appears that Patrick has the panicking. Why else do you go for 2 after early score and a fake punt in your own end? …
— Patrick Graham (@pgraham34)
What the hell are the Broncos doing?!!! Fake punt this early?? Are you kidding me?
— Justin Adams (@justinadamsTV)
all the rest of the Broncos during this fake punt are just out of frame, laughing and having a great time
— Christian D'Andrea (@TrainIsland)
seem to be overthinking things way too much..between going for 2 & faking a punt too caught up in the KC fear factor as opposed to them just playing their gm..you're down by 4 & it's early in the 2nd qtr..really no reason 2 take chances & give KC a gift in field position

Note to : Colby Wadman – NOT A QUARTERBACK
Fangio and company are getting a bit cute here early vs. , failed 2-point attempt in 1st then failed fake punt in 2nd

One person thought of a worst play:
I've seen some people say the Broncos fake punt was the worst ever. HARD NO.
