Less than a week from the start of the 2019-’20 NBA season, general managers across the league are high on the .

The Nuggets were heavily featured In NBA.com’s annual survey of the league’s 30 GMs, even if they didn’t pick them to win a title this season. (They did predict, however, that they’d finish with the second-best record in the Western Conference.)

Among the most interesting revelations, league GMs picked the Nuggets as the most “fun” team to watch. With an offense hinging on All-NBA center , Denver’s attack is among the most unique outfits in the league. On any given night, Jokic could throw a fullcourt pass, a behind the back pass or a pass to himself off the backboard. That the Nuggets earned that label is a testament to Michael Malone’s flexibility in letting last season’s seventh-ranked offense flow naturally.

“Itap fun, making plays for others, just enjoying the success of others, that comes with just moving the ball and sharing the ball,” Nuggets guard said.

The other major takeaway of note: after New Orleans, the Nuggets were voted as the team with the second-most promising core in the entire league.

Considering the additions of Jerami Grant and Michael Porter Jr. to a nucleus of Jokic, Harris and , the Nuggets are in an enviable place going forward. , , , and only add to one of the deepest teams in the league.

Malone quipped his team might even be “too deep” earlier this preseason.

Jokic, who finished last season fourth in MVP voting, got his fair share of accolades as well. League GMs pegged Jokic to finish fifth in MVP voting this season, and 48% claimed he was the best center in the league. Philadelphia star Joel Embiid earned 28% of the vote. Jokic was also deemed the second-best passer in the NBA behind star .
