Fort Morgan easily handled Northridge by a score of 49-14 on Thursday, Oct. 17.

Fort Morgan quarterback Briggs Wheatley led the passing attack with 113 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and one interception. Wheatley also added 20 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Jacob Ortega lead all Fort Morgan receivers with four receptions for 61 yards and one score.

Fort Morgan’s ground attack was spearheaded by Frank Ortega who tallied 111 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 6.9 yards per carry.

Northridge quarterback Israel Campa led the passing attack with 37 yards through the air.

Patrick Diem paced the Northridge rushing attack by accumulating 46 yards in the game, averaging 4.6 yards per carry. Diem also tacked on 32 receiving yards.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Fort Morgan heading to play Thompson Valley and Northridge taking on Niwot.
