Legacy couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Rocky Mountain squad, losing by a score of 56-31 on Thursday, Oct. 17 at Adams 12 North Stadium.
Giles Pooler led Rocky Mountain’s passing attack with 277 yards through the air, throwing four touchdowns and one interception. Noah Yancey got involved in the passing game as well, hauling in five balls for 99 yards and one touchdown. Rocky Mountain also got 87 yards receiving and one touchdown from Connor Stephenson in the contest.
Holden Lefke lead all Rocky Mountain rushers with 81 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 40.5 yards per carry. Lefke also tacked on 128 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Legacy quarterback Adarius Edwards led the passing attack with 212 yards through the air, throwing four touchdowns with no interceptions. Adarius Edwards’ most relied on target in the game was Jacob Duran, who caught five passes for 111 yards and two scores. Isaac Mercurio got involved in the passing game as well, hauling in three passes for 97 yards and one touchdown.
Braelon Tate spearheaded the Legacy rushing attack by running for 96 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 5.6 yards per carry.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Rocky Mountain heading to play Horizon and Legacy taking on Fossil Ridge.
