Greeley Central couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Silver Creek squad, losing by a score of 56-7 on Thursday, Oct. 17.
Silver Creek quarterback Carter Closson led the passing attack with 157 yards through the air, tossing three touchdowns with no interceptions. Closson also added one touchdown on the ground. Carter Closson’s favorite receiver in the contest was Mason Goss, who caught one pass for 64 yards and one score.
Alex Estrada spearheaded the Silver Creek ground game by gaining 177 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 16.1 yards per carry. Estrada also tacked on one receiving touchdown. Sovann Sam added 59 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, averaging 5.4 yards per carry.
Looking ahead to their next games, Greeley Central will play host to Skyline, while Silver Creek will travel to play Loveland.
