Grand Valley handed Cedaredge their first loss in a close 18-15 victory on Friday, Oct. 18.

Grand Valley quarterback Steven Hicks led the passing attack with 38 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown with no interceptions. Grand Valley’s leading receiver was Hector Delacruz, who caught two passes for 38 yards and one score.

Grand Valley’s ground game was spearheaded by Emilio Garcia who racked up 142 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 8.9 yards per carry.

Cedaredge quarterback Jacob Brown led the passing attack with 154 yards through the air. Brown also added one touchdown on the ground. Jacob Brown’s favorite target in the contest was Colby Rupp, who caught three passes for 64 yards.

Dusty Emig spearheaded the Cedaredge ground game by running for 37 yards and one touchdown in the contest.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Grand Valley hosting Paonia and Cedaredge taking on Hotchkiss.
