Sterling earned a win when they beat Platte Valley 24-6 on Friday.
Brock Shalla powered Sterling’s passing attack with 121 yards through the air. Shalla also added 55 yards on the ground. Sterling’s leading receiver was Peyton Rose, who caught three passes for 65 yards.
Sterling’s ground game was paced by Conner Polenz who tallied 79 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 4.9 yards per carry.
In their next games, Platte Valley will stay home and play Valley, while Sterling will travel to play Fort Lupton.
