
Lamar earned a win when they defeated La Junta 20-14 on Friday, Oct. 18.
Zane Rankin powered Lamar’s passing attack with 104 yards through the air. Rankin’s favorite target in the ballgame was Blake Buxton, who caught three passes for 56 yards and one score.
Walker Kee paced all Lamar rushers with 91 yards in the contest, averaging 7 yards per carry. Jesus Reyes added 57 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 5.7 yards per carry.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Lamar hosting Manitou Springs and La Junta taking on The Classical Academy.
