
Buena Vista defeated Rye by a score of 14-6 on Friday, Oct. 25.
Buena Vista quarterback Kik Molitor led the passing attack with 232 yards through the air. Luke Reavis lead all Buena Vista receivers with four catches for 77 yards and one score. Terry Hirsch got involved in the passing game as well, hauling in four balls for 68 yards. Buena Vista also got 54 yards receiving from Tucker Storms in the contest.
Buena Vista’s rushing game was lead by Jacob Phelps who racked up 68 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 4.5 yards per carry.
Rye’s ground attack was lead by Bryce Benz who accrued 79 yards in the game, averaging 7.9 yards per carry. Hayden Polk added 55 yards on the ground, averaging 4.2 yards per carry.
Next up for each team, Rye will play host to St. Mary’s, while Buena Vista will travel to play Monte Vista.
