
Green Mountain earned a win when they beat Evergreen 27-13 on Friday, Oct. 25 at Jeffco Stadium .
Trey Towndrow led Green Mountain’s passing attack with 78 yards through the air. Towndrow also added 125 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Towndrow’s most relied on target in the game was Austin Peterson, who caught four passes for 45 yards.
Green Mountain’s ground game was lead by Jacob Chavez and his 125 yards and one touchdown on 24 carries.
Griffin Lauritano led Evergreen’s passing attack with 217 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and one interception. Lauritano also added 67 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Evergreen’s leading receiver was Carter Cassin, who caught 10 passes for 133 yards and one score. Cameron Morlan contributed in the passing game as well, hauling in four passes for 57 yards.
In addition to Lauritano’s effort, Noah Martens lead the Evergreen rushing game by finishing with 32 yards in the game.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Green Mountain hosting Kennedy and Evergreen taking on Conifer.
