Keystone opened the bottom of the mountain on Friday and Arapahoe Basin opened its upper slopes, meaning both areas will be offering top-to-bottom skiing this weekend for the first time this season.

Loveland, meanwhile, will open a second lift on Saturday, bringing the number of open trails to three.

Keystone now has eight of its 128 trails in operation, according to its official terrain report, and Arapahoe Basin will have five runs in operation this weekend. A-Basin spokesperson Katherine Fuller said this is the earliest the Lenawee lift has opened for the season since 2013.

Eldora opened for the season Friday with three of 10 lifts in operation serving six trails. Monarch opened for the season Friday with three lifts serving 22 runs. Winter Park opens Saturday with one lift serving two trails, plus the Sorensen Park beginner area.

More is coming next week as Copper Mountain and Breckenridge are due to open on Nov. 8.
