Town officials unanimously approved Snowmass Village’s earlier this week.

After about an hour-and-a-half long public hearing on Tuesday night , the Local Marijuana Licensing Authority — which is made up of Town Council members and chaired by Councilwoman Alyssa Shenk — voted to approve the proposed High Q dispensary on the Village Mall and issue its town license following the completion of a number of conditions.

“Given this was the first and only application I’ve ever seen, I had no idea what to expect,” said Bob Sirkus, licensing authority member and town councilman. “This was the equivalent of a business plan in the format of an application. I commend you on it.”
