A person was taken to a hospital Thursday afternoon after being shot in Aurora.
The shooting happened in the Pheasant Run area, near South Memphis Street and Pheasant Run Parkway, police said.

Police describe the suspect as a white man with a slim build, about 5-foot-7 with brown hair. He was wearing a white shirt, gray hoodie and jeans. A vehicle associated with the suspect was described as a silver Honda Accord.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911. Police asked people to avoid the area if possible.
