BOULDER — Ralphie V isn’t the only CU icon who’ll be a part of the Buffs’ home finale on Saturday night against Washington.

Former CU quarterback Kordell Stewart will be a part of a presentation to honor the 25th anniversary of “The Miracle at Michigan,” the legendary, game-ending Hail Mary from Stewart to Michael Westbrook on Sept. 24, 1994, that lifted CU to a 27-26 victory over Michigan at Michigan Stadium.

CU officials plan to honor Stewart, the former Buffs All-American signal-caller and 1995 Fiesta Bowl MVP, along with a handful of players who were on the roster during that 1994 victory. The game kicks off at 8 p.m.

Westbrook won’t be able to make it, according to athletic department officials, but invites have been sent out to more than a dozen former Buffs who suited up in Ann Arbor 25 years ago.

CU hasn’t announced yet when the ’94 team will be honored, as a block of halftime for the Huskies game is currently allotted to celebrate the career of Buffs mascot Ralphie V, who officially retired earlier this month.
