Police in both cities searched for the missing 18-month-old girl after she and her mother were reported missing — and her mother turned up naked, disoriented and without the infant, investigators said.
The girl was found in a 2016 Fiat near Monaco Parkway and East 32nd Avenue, Denver police said. She was described as being in good condition and underwent a medical evaluation as a precautionary measure.
About 12:30 p.m. Thursday, the father of 18-month-old Miracle Adu called Aurora police from the 3600 block of South Zeno Way to report the girl and her mother, Tiffany Hardy, missing, police said.
On Wednesday the girl was last seen about 5 p.m. in the 2700 block of Gaylord Street when Hardy was picking the child up at a relative’s house, Aurora police said.
About 6:30 a.m. Thursday, the girl’s mother was found nude and disoriented in the area of East Fourth Avenue and Leyden Street in Denver, according to Aurora police. The mother was taken to a hospital, where she remained Thursday night.
She could not tell investigators Miracle’s whereabouts.
