The Denver Rescue Mission hosts a massive Thanksgiving day meal each year. They also collect and distribute over 15,000 turkeys to various organizations and churches to help feed thousands in need. This year, they have collected close to 9,000 turkeys, but need more to meet their goal.

There are several donation sites across the metro area including one at the Lawrence Street Shelter at 1130 Park West Ave. They accept turkey donations (12 lbs and over) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. until November 27, 2019.
