There are a lot of great ski mountains in Colorado. Ski Magazine just named in the West. USA Today named in 2018. Aspen, Telluride, Breckenridge and Vail were in the United States.

But which ski mountain is the best according to Coloradans?

It’s time to find out.

We’re hosting the ultimate ski bracket, letting readers vote to determine which ski areas in Colorado make the top 16, top 4 and, eventually, No. 1.

All 28 ski areas in Colorado are included in the bracket. (Aspen’s four mountains have been split up but Winter Park and Mary Jane have been included as one.) Each ski area was seeded by skiable acreage. An exception in the ranking was made for Silverton, which boasts a shocking 26,819 skiable acres.

There will be five weeks of voting. Vail, Keystone, Snowmass and Winter Park were given byes in the first week.

Download your own bracket to play along with your friends and family. But be careful, you don’t want your Thanksgiving dinner to be ruined by Grandpa Joe and Aunt Karen arguing over which area should come out on top between Eldora and Arapahoe Basin.

Which mountain will seize the title of Colorado’s favorite? Will Snowmass and Vail be the last two standing? Will Loveland come out swinging? Who knows: Maybe Copper will knock ’em all down. There’s only one way to find out.
