The Denver Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious package at Denver Union Station downtown. The building had been evacuated and cleared.

Public reports on Twitter, including photos, showed the transportation station to be empty. Some tweets mentioned The Crawford Hotel also had been evacuated, but police did not confirm that.

Police said the report of the suspicious package at Union Station has been cleared and people were allowed back inside.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
