
Family, friends and community members will gather in Colorado Springs on Friday morning to pay respects to Sgt. Joshua Voth, the 28-year-old Department of Corrections staff member who died Dec. 4 in a boiler explosion.
The memorial service, which is open to the public, will be held at 11 a.m. at the New Life Church, 11025 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80921.
A law enforcement processional will escort the family from Cañon City to the church.
Voth, who had been with the department since 2016, was a licensed trade supervisor who taught inmates trade skills. He was killed when a boiler exploded at the Fremont Correctional Facility in Cañon City.
Voth is survived by a wife and three young children.
