Mead won by a single touchdown in their 27-20 win over Frederick on Friday, Nov. 8.

Mead quarterback Brady Veltien led the aerial attack with 213 yards through the air. Veltien also added one touchdown on the ground. Mead’s leading receiver was Trey Ward, who caught four passes for 96 yards.

Mead’s rushing game was spearheaded by Brayden Keys who racked up 149 yards in the game, averaging 11.5 yards per carry. Keys also tacked on 31 receiving yards and one touchdown. Devon Edwards added 71 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 5.9 yards per carry.

In addition to Jake Green’s effort, Dominik Schleif paced the Frederick ground game by running for 38 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 4.2 yards per carry.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Mead heading to play Harrison and Frederick taking on Thomas Jefferson.
