

Hoops is reigning supreme in Boulder.
The Colorado Buffaloes basketball programs are off to a hot start to open the season. The women’s team is undefeated at 9-0, while the men’s squad is 8-2. In this week’s AP college basketball polls, both teams are on the cusp of the Top 25 with the men tied at 36th and the women at 29th in the votes.
The last time both teams were in the Top 25 in the same year was during the 2012-13 season when they both made the NCAA Tournament. While the men have gone to the big tourney twice since, the women’s program has struggled, earning just two bids to the lesser WNIT in the past six seasons.
The CU women need to go on a roll once conference play begins to change opinions on the program. They were picked to .

Rating the Broncos: Offensive struggles against Kansas City started on second play
It was going to be the play to kick-start the Broncos’ offense Sunday at Kansas City. Following a 10-yard rush by Phillip Lindsay to open the game, quarterback Drew Lock dropped back for his first pass attempt. Offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello used an eight-man protection, meaning he wanted to give Lock time to find Courtland Sutton or DaeSean Hamilton down the field.
