One person was killed and another seriously injured Saturday morning after a car driving the wrong direction on U.S. 85 in Commerce City struck another vehicle.
Police on Saturday afternoon arrested 23-year-old Sebastian Lotero on suspicion of vehicular homicide and driving under the influence in connection with the crash, Commerce City police said in a news release.
At 5:06 a.m., Lotero was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of the 11700 block of U.S. 85 when he collided with a Honda Civic, police said.
Lotero was transported to the hospital with serious injuries while the Honda driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The stretch of 11200-12000 southbound U.S. 85 was closed for a few hours after the crash.
