The Denver Postap annual holiday light competition has become one of our favorite Christmas traditions. Every year, folks around Denver deck the halls and submit photos of their festive efforts, which we use to build a , and submissions are then voted on by our . The home with the most “likes” wins a $100 gift card.

This year, we had more than 70 submissions, with themes ranging from to Ի  There was even a , which seems fitting since “Claude Monet: The Truth of Nature” is .

This year’s winner, with 249 votes and a whopping 80,000 lights:  at 3070 Hudson St. in Denver.

“Ever wanted to know what happens in the woods of the North Pole? Take a trip down Candy Cane Lane and see all the forest animals preparing for the holidays,” the winning entry reads. “Send Santa a special note in the mailbox, travel through the magical Tunnel of Lights and enter a whimsical winter wonderland where reindeer leap, snowmen play, and gingerbread houses look good enough to eat.”

This is the seventh year this household has participated in , a neighborhood holiday light spectacular. Head to 3070 Hudson St. to take it all in and even leave a letter for Santa. “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” will be on display nightly through January. If itap too cold to get out of the car, pull up and tune into 97.7 FM to hear some holly-jolly tunes while you enjoy the light show from the comfort of your heated vehicle.
