Players to watch

RB Josh Jacobs: The Raiders’ third first-round pick last spring, Jacobs enters the season’s final week with 1,150 rushing yards, eighth-most in the NFL and tops among all rookies. And thatap despite missing two of the last three games with a shoulder injury. He gained 85 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns in a Week 1 win over the Broncos.

TE Darren Waller: One of the NFL’s best stories this year. A former sixth-round pick by Baltimore, he was suspended twice for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy and was signed off the Ravens’ practice squad last November. He leads the Raiders with 84 catches for 1,038 yards and signed a three-year, $27 million contract in mid-October.

LB Tahir Whitehead: The Raiders’ leading tackler with 98 stops, 25 more than safety Eric Harris. Whitehead has three games with at least 11 tackles and made six stops in the Raiders’ Week 1 win over the Broncos. Fifty-nine of his tackles have come against the run.

QB Derek Carr: Itap been a solid statistical year for Carr, who has completed 71.1% of his pass attempts (including 26 of 30 for 86.7% in Sunday’s win at the Chargers) and has 12 more touchdowns than interceptions (20-8). He is 5-5 in 10 career games against the Broncos (11 touchdowns/four interceptions).

DE Maxx Crosby: A fourth-round rookie from Eastern Michigan, Crosby made six tackles in the Week 1 win over the Broncos and has 41 stops this year. Crosby leads the Raiders with 8 1/2 sacks, four of which came in the Week 11 win over Cincinnati.
