Avalanche center was named the NHL’s No. 1 star of the week Monday for his three goals and eight points in three games last week.

MacKinnon, 24, has a team-leading 25 goals and 64 points — a point behind NHL leaders Leon Draisaitl and of Edmonton.

For the second consecutive year, MacKinnon will captain the Central Division at the NHL All-Star Game, this time in St. Louis later this month.
