Colorado Gov. Jared Polis is scheduled to give his second State of the State address around 11 a.m. Thursday at the Colorado statehouse.

The Democratic governor is expected to tout achievements from 2019 after Democrats took control of both chambers of the Legislature and the governor’s office, including passing a bill last year to fund full-day kindergarten. He also will speak about 2020 legislative priorities such as putting his support behind a publicly-funded health insurance option and other measures to make health care more affordable.

Both Democratic and Republican lawmakers have acknowledged their desire to find funding solutions to the state’s persistent transportation funding problem and Polis is expected to address the issue in his address.
