The Berthoud Spartans easily defeated the Mead Mavericks by a score of 71-34 on Saturday, Jan. 25.
Emily Cavey lead Berthoud with 22 points scored while also collecting five rebounds and two assists. Breanna Fowler aided the effort by chipping in 14 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
Mead was lead in scoring by Kyra Haan who accounted for nine points, while also collecting four rebounds and two assists. Maddie Muntz helped the effort by chipping in six points and seven rebounds.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Berthoud heading to play Frederick and Mead taking on Windsor.
