Brennan Rigsby pulled out a move during a high school game that’s typically reserved for slam dunk contests.
Rigsby — a junior guard from De Beque who plays for Wasatch Academy of Mount Pleasant, Utah — stole a pass and threw down an Eastbay dunk — a between-the-legs jam made famous in the ’90s by former NBA player Isaiah Rider. The score gave Wasatch a 126-44 lead in the fourth quarter against Layton Christian Academy.
Wasatch, one of the top-ranked teams in the country, would go on to win 130-49. Rigsby finished the game with 13 points.
As a sophomore, Rigsby was the leading scorer on the undefeated De Beque team that won the Class 1A state championship.
