The Rocky Ford Meloneers easily defeated the Las Animas Trojans by a score of 47-21 on Friday.
Rocky Ford was lead in scoring by Abi Snyder who scored 17 points while also recording eight rebounds and three assists. Nevaeh Rodriguez aided the effort by contributing six points and seven rebounds.
Las Animas was lead in scoring by Monique Maes who scored five points while collecting two rebounds. Julyanna Gonzales and Shelby Eck also had productive outings contributing four points each.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Rocky Ford heading to play John Mall and Las Animas taking on Fowler.
