
The Thornton Trojans narrowly won over the Adams City Eagles in a 44-41 contest on Wednesday.
Thornton was lead in scoring by Shamahra Henderson who put up 17 points while also recording 17 rebounds and four assists. Kathrine Prado had a respectable night, recording eight points, one rebound and four assists.
Adams City was paced in scoring by Jay Jones who put up 16 points, while also recording 10 rebounds and two assists. Amanda Herron and Jazmyn Moten also had solid games contributing 13 points and nine points, respectively.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Thornton hosting Vista PEAK Prep and Adams City taking on Thornton.
