Breyona Lucero lead La Junta with 11 points scored while also recording seven rebounds and three assists. Raini Tafoya aided the effort by contributing nine points and seven rebounds.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with La Junta heading to play Lamar and Ellicott taking on James Irwin.
