Banning Lewis Academy let it fly from beyond the arc, drilling 11 threes in their 70-66 win over Dolores Huerta Prep on Monday.
Banning Lewis Academy was lead in scoring by Tyler Vergara who put up 22 points while also collecting three rebounds and five assists. Vinny Benita aided the effort by contributing 18 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
Dolores Huerta Prep was paced in scoring by Isaiah Trujillo who accounted for 37 points. Charles Winston had a solid night, scoring nine points.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Banning Lewis Academy hosting Florence and Dolores Huerta Prep taking on Calhan.
