With the Colorado state wrestling tournament just wrapped up this past weekend, it seems fitting that a two-time champion is set to defend his UFC belt in the octagon.
Henry Cejudo — who won titles at Coronado High School before going on to claim Olympic gold in 2008 — will at UFC 250, according to ESPN. The bout will take place on May 9 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Cejudo, 33, is on a five-fight winning streak. He won the bantamweight title after beating Marlon Moraes in June. Aldo, 33, is a two-time featherweight champion and holds the promotion’s record for most successful and consecutive title defenses with seven. He made his bantamweight debut in December, losing a split decision to Moraes.
