Fountain-Fort Carson was a force in the post, grabbing 61.8 of all rebounds and swatting four shots in their 65-54 win over The Vanguard School on Thursday.
Torie Bass lead Fountain-Fort Carson with 21 points scored while also recording three rebounds and eight assists. Danae Christensen and Tauja Durham also had solid outings contributing 20 points and 12 points, respectively.
The Vanguard School was paced in scoring by Alexis Garcia who accounted for 15 points, while also collecting five rebounds and one assist. Juliana Garcia and Hailey Blanchard also had good performances contributing 15 points and 14 points, respectively.
Fountain-Fort Carson will play host to Rampart, while The Vanguard School will travel to play La Junta.
