Calhan dominated in the paint, collecting 63.3 of all rebounds and swatting eight shot attempts in their 67-56 win over Dolores Huerta Prep on Friday, Feb. 21.
Calhan was lead in scoring by Jaiden Monger who scored 22 points while also collecting 20 rebounds and three assists. Justine Hodges had a respectable night, recording 19 points, four rebounds and two assists.
Dolores Huerta Prep was lead in scoring by Torri Chavez who accounted for 20 points while collecting three rebounds. Elissa Velasquez recorded a double-double, scoring 13 points and collecting 10 rebounds.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Calhan hosting Peyton and Dolores Huerta Prep taking on Calhan.
