Rock’s 31 points are not enough for Smoky Hill in loss to Cherry Creek

Cherry Creek let it rain from three-point land, sinking nine threes in their 85-74 win over Smoky Hill on Friday, Feb. 21.

Myles Purchase lead Cherry Creek with 20 points scored while also collecting five rebounds and three assists. Julian Hammond iii helped by contributing 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists.

Smoky Hill was lead in scoring by Quinten Rock who accounted for 31 points while also racking up three assists. Jalen Weaver had a good night, scoring 25 points.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Cherry Creek heading to play Regis Jesuit and Smoky Hill taking on Fossil Ridge.
