Well, it’s a bit of a long shot, according to one oddsmaker, but like Lloyd Christmas said in “Dumb and Dumber,” “So, you’re telling me there’s a chance.”
The Broncos veteran quarterback on Tuesday was listed at 25-to-1 odds to become Brady’s successor with the Patriots, according to BetOnline. It’s far behind favorite Jarrett Stidham (3/2), who was the Pats’ fourth-round pick in 2019. He’s followed by Panthers’ Cam Newton (3/1), Bengals’ Andy Dalton (7/2), free agent Jameis Winston (7/1) and Jaguars’ Nick Foles (9/1).
Flacco started eight games for the Broncos last season, going 2-6 in the process. He completed 65.3% of his passes for 1,822 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions. According to Spotrac, he has two years remaining on his contract worth $51.3 million.
