A fire at an Englewood waste management facility has sent a plume of smoke into the air Thursday morning, fire officials said.
The fire near Santa Fe Drive and West Union Avenue is triggering 911 calls, according to a South Metro Fire Rescue.
The plume is drifting south of the Denver metro area, the tweet said.
The fire department is recommending residents close their windows if they smell the smoke.
