The NBA Players 2K Tournament kicks off at 5 p.m. MT Friday on ESPN as 16 professional basketball players, including Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr., compete to find out which one of them is the best at NBA 2K20.
Porter, who’s the No. 12 seed in the tournament, is the eighth favorite among the field at 16-to-1 odds, according to oddsmaker Bovada.
Unfortunately, it may be a short run for Porter, who takes on Suns guard Devin Booker, the presumptive favorite at 3/1 odds. Porter is a 4.5-point underdog — the biggest margin among all first-round matchups.
“I’m just naturally good at 2K,” Porter said on Altitude’s digital show on Thursday. “Itap kind of weird. 2K, if you’re good at actual basketball, like it translates.”
