With the start of the Major League Baseball season postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, we here at The Denver Post took a look at how the Rockies would fare in MLB The Show 20 on PlayStation 4. We will have a story for every game that had been scheduled until real-life baseball returns. Here’s a look at the virtual Rockies’ preseason preview. Entering Sunday’s game, the Rockies were 10-4.

PHOENIX — Daniel Murphy’s big bat lifted the Rockies to 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks Sunday at Chase Field.

Down 3-2 in the eighth inning with the bases loaded, Murphy clubbed a three-run double to left field off of Arizona reliever Andrew Chafin to give Colorado the lead. Murphy finished the day batting 2 for 4.

Colorado pitcher Chi Chi Gonzalez had his best outing of the season so far. The 28-year-old allowed just three hits and one earned run — a solo home run by Sterling Marte — while striking out six in the no decision. He dropped his earned-run average down to 5.17 for the year.

The Rockies got on the board early after Charlie Blackmon drove in David Dahl in the first inning.

Colorado led 2-1 until the bottom of the seventh inning when Arizona scored a pair off of reliever Yency Almonte. Jairo Diaz would come in and force a double play to end the inning.

Colorado improved to 11-4 on the season and retook the lead in the National League West. The Rockies hold a half-game lead over the Dodgers (11-5). Arizona falls to 9-8, but sit in third place in NL West.

Rockies head to San Diego on Tuesday to take on Padres. German Marquez (1-1) heads to the mound for Colorado as Dinelson Lamet starts for the Padres.
