Nobody knows when we’ll have an NBA draft.
What we do know is that the Denver Nuggets will actually have a pick when it happens.
As part of the deal that sent Malik Beasley, Juancho Hernangomez and Jarred Vanderbilt to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Nuggets received the Houston Rockets’ first-round pick in the 2020 draft. That would be the 21th overall selection if the season were done today (and letap face it, it very well might be).
Here’s a look at what NBA draftniks across the internet predict Denver will do with that pick:

Leandro Bolmaro, PG/SG, Barcelona
Height: 6-8 | Age: 19
: “Wing depth likely will be a priority for the Nuggets this offseason. A bigger wing like Saddiq Bey — who can space the floor, make the extra pass and defend multiple positions — would elevate a team that is already flush with shot creation. And if the deep Nuggets go for the best player available, that’s likely Bolmaro.”
SportingNews.com | Chris Stone | Updated March 24
Josh Green, G/F, Arizona
Height: 6-6 | Age: 19
: “Green has an NBA skill thanks to his defense, and that should buy him a bit of development time, but he’ll need to find a reason beyond that to stay in rotations long-term. He can function as an off-ball slashing threat offensively and not much else. The shooting is his swing skill as it is for many young, athletic prospects who excelled by physically imposing themselves on others.”
TheAthletic.com | Sam Vecenie | Updated March 19
Jalen Smith, F/C, Maryland
Height: 6-10 | Age: 20
: “After a slow start to the season, Smith came on in a big way for the last three months. He finished the season averaging 15 points, 10 rebounds and 2.4 blocks while shooting 36 percent from 3. Thatap a very, very rare set of skills. How rare? Well, Smith and Daniel Oturu are the only two high-major players in the last three decades to do it, and they both did it this year. Smith was one of the 15 or so best players in the country this year, and his game is a really interesting fit for the modern NBA as a spacing big man who can also protect the weak side of the rim.”
SI.com | Jeremy Woo | Updated March 31
Precious Achiuwa, F/C, Memphis
Height: 6-8 | Age: 20
: “To Achiuwa’s credit, he had a strong freshman year, anchoring a stingy Memphis defense with his versatility at center, as he’s capable of switching everything and appeared a bit more bought in than we’ve seen him in the past. Although the five is his best long-term position for that reason, he’s always wanted to play like a wing offensively, which frequently leads to some head-scratching moments. Teams have to parse whether itap a feel issue, a self-perception issue, or both, and what type of role they think he can realistically thrive in.
