Broker Joanne Kleinstein says she’s always loved her condo in Cherry Creek’s Monroe Pointe building, but says the virus emergency has given her added appreciation for it. She has a neighbor’s unit on the market now, a one-bedroom-plus-study at $539,000 that you can tour via Zoom.
“I’ve always felt Monroe Pointe was wonderful, but under coronavirus the building staff is going the extra mile to keep us safe and well,” Kleinstein adds.
Along with an updated gym, conference room, heated parking and two guest suites for hosting visitors, Monroe Pointe has a 24/7 concierge team thatap being extra vigilant on checking visitors and packages and keeping the common areas spick-and-span.
The very contemporary 2006 building gets its ship’s-prow architecture from the wedge-shaped site south of Alameda at South Monroe that angles diagonally along Cherry Creek North Drive and the creek’s bike path.
Residents, says Kleinstein, are walkers and bikers who can take that path into downtown and the Platte River Greenway, or head south to Cherry Creek State Park.
In addition to the venerable Chopper’s Sports Grill (2 blocks north at Bayaud), the whole parade of Cherry Creek dining options, plus fitness/Pilates places, starts a half mile north, beginning with Olive & Finch at First and Cook, 5 blocks.
Kleinstein says this 1,278-foot unit, with 1½ baths and a big fourth-floor balcony viewing Pulaski Park, is a value for its price, nudged downward by the ban on person-to-person showings. At $422 per foot, a similar-sized unit recently went for $487/foot across the hall.
On her Zoom tour, you’ll see a master with large custom walk-in closet, a home office with built-ins, newer carpet, washer-dryer, and a gas hook-up for a barbecue on the balcony. Kleinstein and husband Art add that they put the building’s conference room to plenty of uses.
She’ll host a Zoom tour Sunday, April 19, from 2 to 2:30 p.m., or call her to arrange one.
