A woman was found shot in a vehicle on Interstate 70 at Colorado Boulevard Monday morning, police say.
The Denver Police Department said they received a call at 4:43 a.m. about a vehicle stopped on the highway. When police arrived at the scene, they found the vehicle on the shoulder. The woman, who was in the driver’s seat, had a gunshot wound.
She was transported to a local hospital in serious, but stable, condition, police said.
Two lanes of westbound I-70 were closed until 8 a.m.
