The 2020 NFL draft just ended 10 days ago and the next one doesn’t begin for another 358 days, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take a early look ahead.
CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso on Monday and has the Broncos — with the No. 16 overall pick — going for Georgia defensive back Richard LeCounte.
Trapasso writes: “This could be an offensive tackle, but let’s go against the grain slightly, assuming John Elway either signs or trades for a tackle next offseason. LeCounte will head into the 2020 college football season as the premier safety prospect.”
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound senior-to-be recorded career-highs in interceptions (4) and pass deflections (7) for the Bulldogs in 2019.
As for the No. 1 overall pick, that’s a no-brainer in Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who’s headed to Minshew Country with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the mock draft.
