Businesses in the Denver metro area are slowing reopening now that the city’s stay-at-home is following the state’s shift to “safer at home.” While restaurants are open for full service yet, many are still concerned with a possible meat shortage as coronavirus has created kinks in the supply chain.

Meanwhile, many are celebrating Mother’s Day from afar, including these four Colorado Rockies that are remembering how their mom’s impacted their lives and careers. There are still a few restaurants offering takeout meals to help you celebrate Mother’s Day. Here’s a list.

As of this afternoon’s update, the latest Colorado coronavirus count stood at 971 deaths as testing tops 100,000 people statewide. The state also reported 397 critical care ventilators in use.

Throughout the day, we will share the latest coverage from Denver Post journalists on the coronavirus outbreak on this page. Also, bear in mind The Denver Post relies on support from its readers to provide this in-depth coverage of the coronavirus outbreak, so if you haven’t already.
