Colorado health officials on Friday reported 175 new COVID-19 infections across the state, as hospitalizations for the respiratory disease remained flat.
There were 28,822 cases of the new coronavirus as of Thursday, up from 28,647 the day before, according to the latest data from the state Department of Public Health and Environment.
Hospitalizations remain mostly unchanged, dropping from 168 people to 167, according to the agency and Colorado Hospital Association.
Nine more people have died from COVID-19, with the total number of deaths at 1,348 people as of June 6, the latest date for which data is available for cases in which death certificates show the person died from the respiratory disease.
The number of COVID-19 patients who have died, even if their deaths weren’t directly attributed to the virus, stood at 1,595 on Friday. That figure does not have as large of a lag.
